ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Assistive Technology Specialist 
(Southeastern MA and RI)

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with two years experience in assistive and adaptive technology including strong hands on computer experience. Occupational Therapist or Rehabilitation Engineer preferred. Must be able to work independently.  Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
 
Responsiblities:

 Perform clinical evaluation of client’s needs for adaptive technology

 Provide training related to computer technology and adaptive equipment to individual clients and/or caregivers

 Coordinate equipment requisitions with clients, funding agencies and other interested parties, and provide installation of equipment as needed.

 Provide consultation services to clients and contracting agencies regarding assistive technology both by phone and in person

 Conduct professional education programs

Full time or part time equivalent adjustment of work schedule to accommodate needs of client/contracting agency is necessary.
